Julie Whitehead is the author of Shadowed: How I Became the Sex Trafficked Mother Next Door. Julie talks about her early childhood abuse that set her up for a life of abuse, including domestic violence and sex trafficking. Her work with iamonwatch.org is to help raise awareness that trafficking is happening under our noses and the more we know the better we can help rescue women children who are trafficked in our own community. Julie was a preschool teacher and the father of a student befriended her and well, listen in to hear the whole story. This may be hard to listen to and might even be a trigger, if you need help or support 888-373-7888 is the sex trafficking hot line. Use it if you or someone you know is being trafficked.
