Interrupted: Act 2 Reinventing Your Legacy

Reinvent Your Legacy Act2 Life after 60

Welcome to Interrupted, where we prove your story matters--even the messy, interrupted parts. Each week I talk with real people who turned life’s plot twists into powerful turning points. You’ll hear how they found their voice and now you can too--maybe even through your own podcast. Because what you’ve lived through isn’t the end of your story--it might just be the start of someone else’s healing.

Theo Boyd is the author of My Grief is not Like Yours.  After a series of interruptions Theo finally wrote the book about her journey.  It all started when he dad accidently ran over her mom, who was deaf, with his tractor. That set off a series of "are you kidding me?" moments. One tragedy after another.  Theo is passionate about helping others who have experienced trauma to walk through their grief in spite of well meaning people who say really ignorant things that not only don't help but they make the grief even harder.  Grab a cup of coffee or tea and come on a journey of unbelievable experiences and see how Theo gets to a place of healing.

Complex shame is a "thing" and it can cause us to feel as though we don't fit in or belong. In fact it compounds our feeling of not enough.  After hearing a podcast from Dr. Zoe Shaw where she talked about complex shame it helped me understand the reason I get caught up in feeling "wrong" or not enough when things that work for other people don't work for me.  Good news, Dr. Zoe will be joining us on a podcast soon.
